Alright ladies I know I am not the only procrastinator here… Valentines Day is less than a week away, and you’re just now realizing “holy cow I have nothing prepared!” Well I am here to help! Here are some of my favorite ways to spoil my dude, because believe it or not guys deserve to be spoiled too!
- Pack a Picnic in the Park to enjoy with your Partner – heehee do y’all see what I did there? #alliteration Anyways…as I was saying boys L. O. V. E. food and the outdoors- so why not combine the two? All you need is a blanket/quilt, a basket – or 2 lunch boxes, some snacks and sandwiches, and each other and voila – there you have it, one easy and budget-friendly way to spoil your man! Also if one of y’all have a sweet pup take ’em with y’all for some entertainment!!
- Pull a Ben Rector – Let your man know “Loving him is Easy!!” (If you haven’t heard this song – listen ASAP its perf!!) I love handmade goodies – I think they speak volumes about a person’s heart – and are gifts your loved ones can look back on daily! Grab a notepad (the dollar section at Target is always a great place to start looking) and jot down every letter of the alphabet on separate pages, and fill in the pages with love notes or reasons why you love him that correlate with the specific letter thats on the page. It’s not only a cute little keepsake, but also a wonderful way to point out all the reasons you love him!
- Indoor Cinema – Ethan and I love movies, we love going to the movies & we love staying in and watching movies. So a budget-friendly way to make this valentines day special (and beat the crowds) would be to make a comfy pallet in your living room, grab your fave snacks – ours would most definitely be Dr. Pepper (duh), popcorn, Reese’s for Ethan, and Brookside Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Flavored Candies for me – and stream a movie from Netflix or Hulu!
- Send some Snail Mail – If you and your beau suffer the long distance challenge, or even if you don’t, snail mail makes everyone’s day better! Think about it when you go to your mailbox expecting bills and promotions, and leave with a letter full of love from your person – that would make anyone feel special! So take the time to write out – yes, a handwritten – letter to your Valentine for an extra special and unexpected surprise! For extra goodies you could also make a care package for him with his fave snacks, books, gift cards, etc.!
- Encourage Him – One of my favorite ways to
encourage Ethan is to share scripture with him and show him through God’s Word just how much he is cherished, beloved, and blessed. So grab a pen, pencil, and notebook and jot down a book full of verses that your loved one can refer to “when he is worried,” “when he needs to know just how much God loves him,” “when he needs to be reminded of the power of prayer.” This gift will sure make a lasting imprint on his life and on his faith.
So lets get crackin’ ladies and make this Valentine’s Day a one he’ll remember!!
Let me know in the comments below what you and your beau have planned for Valentine’s this year!!
xoxo
