How I Did 200 Wedding Invitations For Under $100

Nowadays popping the word "wedding" in front of something raises the price by what sources say is roughly 500%....WHAT?! Can we all just take a hot second to question the audacity and complete craziness that is a 500% mark up by one seven letter word? HOLY. COW. I read somewhere that the average wedding in today's world costs around $36,000. That's literally more than my car... When I got engaged I made it my mission to not get caught up in spending my money in places where I could be saving it by doing something myself. This includes the insane amount of money that wedding invitations cost.

The Reality of Engagement

Have y’all ever experienced a time in your life where the world and all of your worries just faded away and time stood still, and all you remember was pure – unwavering happiness? I have been blessed with a handful of moments like that, however my favorite so far was the moment Ethan and I got engaged! I remember the day and all of the events leading up to it so VIVIDLY, but all I remember during the moment was, my sweet forever, Ethan - every worry, every fear, every terrible thing in life just faded away, and all that was left was me and him – frozen in time.

Now What?

College is the most wonderful adventure I have experienced thus far, and I cannot begin to explain the amount of independence, humility, and firmness I have learned without even realizing it. College encourages you to test your limits, build your authenticity, and eventually, after four (or 5) memorable years, college leaves you better than it found you.
But - the thought that haunts us all is "Now What?"

Our Story

Grateful, thankful, blessed is an understatement. Ethan Andrew is my prayer warrior, friend, brother in Christ, encourager, protector, partner, valentine, fiancé, and future forever. No he did not become these things over night, and no our relationship has not been a walk in the park, however I wouldn't trade our past or our story for anything.

Not Today Satan

So, funny enough, this post has been one of my hardest to compose. I knew what God wanted me to write about, but every time I sat down to write ideas, scripture, or any sort of truth down I would be stumped on how to start, or too lazy to brainstorm, or too tired to research, the excuses are endless, but finally I found comfort in expelling distractions hold on me by saying "not. today. satan."

Making the most out of your Rainy Days

The past few days have been a tad moist to say the least – not only are we experiencing frizzy hair, but also standing water up to our mid calves – Texas weather is CRAZY, but that’s a whole other blog posting to dig into!! Obviously rain, especially a consistent drizzle, is the farthest thing from an enticingly productive day, however I promise it is possible!! Here are some of my tips on how to make the most of those rainy days without netflix (I know right - its a scary thought)!

new year, same Jesus

It is February of 2018 – W O W – and resolutions still have a negative connotation most likely revolved around our tendency to be consistently inconsistent with keeping them, however one beautiful and constant thing we can always count on is Jesus, the King of Kings & Lord of Lords! He is sovereign overall.
